If you really want to change Europe, go out and vote, Frans Timmermans tells the CSSD Congress in Hradec Králové, in the Czech Republic.
Frans Timmermans said:
“If you are young and you really want to change Europe, you have to get out and vote! If you are worried about the environment, or the job prospects for your children, you have to get out and vote! These elections will be about choosing the kind of Europe we want to live in. Vote for yourselves, for your children, for your grandchildren. If you don’t take part on election day, then somebody else will decide your future.”
The PES Common Candidate was speaking at the Congress of the Česká strana sociálne demokratická during a campaign trip to the Czech Republic. The event followed on from a day of campaigning in Ljubljana, Slovenia, where Frans Timmermans addressed the ‘Europe We Need’ event, and held discussions with students, professors, trade unions, NGOs, youth organisations, market traders... and an Olympic medal-winning skier!
