PES Common Candidate Frans Timmermans today travelled to Italy to meet the newly elected leader of Partito Democratico, Nicola Zingaretti, and to speak at the event: Europe to the test of change.
The progressive leaders met to discuss how they can work together as partners in the fight against populism and for progressive change across Europe. Nicola Zingaretti takes the helm at a critical time for his country and Europe.
Frans Timmermans also spoke at the conference L'Europa alla prova del cambiamento (Europe to the test of change), which examined voting intentions and attitudes in Europe ahead of the European elections in May.
