Speaking to voters today in Dublin, PES Common Candidate Frans Timmermans outlined plans to ease the housing crisis in Ireland and across Europe.
Frans Timmermans made a campaign visit to a housing association development at Beech Hill, in Donnybrook, to speak to residents about the European elections. He was accompanied by Irish Labour leader Brendan Howlin and election candidate Alex White. Whilst in Ireland, the PES Common Candidate also campaigned with candidates Sheila Nunan and Dom Hannigan in their constituencies, canvassing morning commuters and visiting an arts centre.
The progressive candidate for the next President of the European Commission proposes using structural funds to support local authorities to meet their housing need, which will ease the housing crisis which is currently developing across Europe.
